I Love You More
When I say, “I love you more,”
I don’t mean that my love outweighs yours,
or that it stands taller,
brighter in some unknown measure.
No, my love is not a competition,
not a scale where one side tips heavier,
but an endless sea,
flowing beside yours,
two rivers converging
into the same boundless horizon.
What I mean is –
my love expands with each passing breath,
it grows in the quiet spaces
between your laughter and your sighs,
in the way your hands move without thinking,
in the silence of shared moments
where words don’t need to exist.
When I say, “I love you more,”
I mean that my heart stretches into places
I didn’t know existed,
reaching deeper every day,
finding new corners of you to cherish,
new reasons to adore.
It is not a question of measure,
but of time –
of how, with every sunrise,
I discover there’s still more of you to love,
more of me to give.
I don’t mean I love you more than you love me,
only that with each moment that passes,
I find more love within me,
more than yesterday,
more than today,
and tomorrow,
more still.
