Way Home
somewhere between stars
and the trembling dark
i found you (not a constellation) but
a quiet hum, a
whispered light folding
into the night
your eyes are (tiny moons) pulling the tides
of my heart,
and your laugh is a comet
flashing across this canvas
of forgotten worlds.
the sky was full,
but i saw only you
and the starlight became softer,
dimming in reverence (for us).
i think the universe might have been waiting
to place you here
in this wide, wide night
just so i could
find my way
home
