Beloved

Beloved,
your face appears like dawn,
a secret sunrise warming the edges
of my restless heart.

Your smile,
soft as the first touch of morning on the earth,
gathers me,
unmakes me,
teaches me that even silence has a pulse
when it is shared with you.

There is a tenderness in your eyes
that bends the world toward beauty;
green fields, shy winds, wandering shadows,
all surrender when you look at them,
as I do,
without resistance.

I love the way your hair falls,
like golden letters of a love poem
that was written long before I arrived
and yet somehow waits for me
to read it, slowly,
with trembling devotion.

If I could,
I would live in the small space
between your breath and your smile,
that sacred moment
where love is born again,
gentle and inevitable.

You are my quiet miracle,
my unexpected light,
the soft rain that teaches the earth
to bloom again.

And I…
I am only a man
learning to love you
the way the world loves the seasons:
completely,
hopelessly,
forever.
